Wow.........again this tunic !! I have seen it several years ago in a military show in Milano. In December it was again offered to me .

I was pretty sure the insigna was bad but I sended the pics to some friends of this forum who confirmed my opinion!

      Here some additional pics.

100% bogus insignia!!! I would assume the rest of it is junk too. Keep this at least 10 feet (3.5 meters) away from you at all times, Francesco! You might get contaminated by a fake and then glow at night...

was this tunic privately tailored?...if so, may the rank tabs also have been made by same tailor and not look like reg SS manufactured tabs, now giving the impression that they look bad?...just a thought from a novice on the subject.....care to share.?>>>>>>>>.K

bad to the bone, collar tabs and the eagle got my first catch.
Karlo, there was a system that was called RZM. We know also about Probe Stuecke etc. and the Tax system with the embroidery etc. But this tabs are in fact not original.

I agree with Robert on his assessment... there's no way that I'd touch this piece, tunic or insignia, with a 10-foot pole. This is just plain bogus like so many other SS general's tunics we've seen offered over the years. My money would be on the trousers (if they were included) having the light-gray stripes (lampen) down the legs... another cue that they're not authentic IMO.
