Wow - I'm speechless. Very nice - very cool! These have always been my favorites! Wonderful piece with someone who obviously appreciates it's origins! Congratulations!
It’s been many years since I purchased it, so not sure if the asking price is accurate based on today’s market. Please let me know if it’s overpriced, or if the hobby has significantly slowed down in recent years.
Or maybe all the serious collectors are just saving for SOS 😜

Thanks.
I, for one, am going to SoS, and unless an item is exactly what I am looking for and/or it is something that I will not see again, am indeed waiting for SoS.
Your cap is very, very rare and a gem; in fact, I sent a friend the photos because he is looking for an EM visor, having just bought a sweet off. visor, but he prefers the later style.
What you have for sale is rare enough to not be an item with a recent market value I can think of, but you are dead on that prices are depressed, with nothing to indicate they will come back in my lifetime and everything to indicate they will continue to fall as more collections hit the market from aging collectors and insufficient numbers of younger buyers exist to purchase these.
The later EM visors I have followed and talked with others about sell for around 5 k and they do tend to not sell very quickly; very little is selling quickly, even when priced right. I purchased a like-new SS officer visor from a dealer a couple of weeks ago for 6k that he could not sell at 8.5k, so that may tell you where things are today. You should be prepared for the long haul and, perhaps, entertain realistic offers, and also be prepared for the harsh reality that it actually would not be a bad thing if prices fell to year 2000 levels: there would be far more buyers at prices such as this and it would provide for significant turnover and collection liquidation vs. online photo albums and traveling museums.
If Allgemeine were my thing, your cap would certainly be for me. Good luck!
Was it a black officer visor cap for 6k USD?
If yes the value went down around 50% from the past years value then.
Over all the Sonderklasse visors still dont pop up often at all.
This was a Waffen SS Kleierkasse off. visor I purchased and it is really 98-99% new.
The market is very soft and some auctions are turning away collections. I get a kick out of some of the well-known, high-profile dealers who tell their customers the market is strong and no need to worry - they remind me of Baghdad Bob - ha!
