    Well-worn SS Officer eagle...original?

    Dear all,

    Yesterday, I visited a friend who had in his collection this well-worn bird. I really do not know if it could be an original specimen and told him so.

    Almost all the silver colour has dissapeared but I am convinced that some of you can still give an honest opinion on this one....

      After having looked at the eagle for a minute, for the usual charachters, I have to say that is not an original IMO. Put in an acid bath or something to make the fake ageing.
