Yes, that's an original eagle, and a less common style at that.

What I find curious is how precise the trimming and folding of the border material is. This one was done with the care and deliberateness of a surgeon when it was prepared and applied. It is also unusual to see a straight stitch having been used to apply a sleeve eagle like this.

some weeks ago i bought nearly the same eagle for 350 $ .

i think that is a fair price.
