Apart form colecting, I also build 1/6 scale models figures, and I am tring to make a figure of a combat police (4th SS division) in Russia 1942, engaged in antipartisan duty.
I have encountered a color picture of the 4th SS police divsion (a machine gun team that has standard SS eagles on their field tunics Heer collar patches, the police decals on helmets (that is the police eagle in the left, national party shield on the right) and dark collar.
The question is how would a tunic of this unit have looked like in 1942?
Would it be the M40 perhaps with field gray collar, retaining the Heer colar patches standard SS eagle? or would it be with the police eagle?
Did they alway wear the heer collar patches or did they use SS ones.
Please if someone could help with a photo of a tunic or a war time picture I would grately pareciate it
