in the one above i think the photographer hit the button too early- and in the second on i think those guys are having a lot of fun after drinking a lot of beer ( maybe after the finished boot camp- a lehrgang or something like that...)

    Gruß,
    KSM

PS: what i reallythink is funny is wearing nothing but an entrenchment tool., a helmet and a rifle- everything a soldiers needs

      Hello
Regarding the photo showing 4 soldiers wearing oversized handmade KC :
Uniforms are rather early patterns and cyphers on shoulder straps can be seen : Then, I would say that this photo was taken in end 41 (last limit). A uniform specialist might cross checking that with uniforms patterns.
I originally believed this was a ceremony to celebrate the new KC recipients in the SS Totenkopf Div.
      It seems it's not this.
You'll notice that none of them wears either EK2 or EK1.
Among Totenkopf KC holders (46 soldiers), no enlisted man was awarded the RK.
Maybe the celebration was made for earing EK2 or EK1 but it would be stange that the oversized EK are worn like it was a KC.
I have really no clue. Just my thoughts. Any way, a very interesting photo.
      Regards
      Denis

        Cypher ?

Gary, what is the cypher being worn by the TK guy bottom right ? It looks almost like an 'LAH' but he's definately wearing a TK tab.

        Cheers, Ian Hulley.

                            Great photos, guys!

Chris, notice the "conductor" appears to be wearing an M-37 feldbluse.
                            A very rare tunic.
