    ‘Der Fuhrer’ cufftitle

Hello, I have been looking to purchase a ‘Der Fuhrer’ cufftitle but I must confess my knowledge of such things is limited to say the least. What kind of price should I expect to pay? I have searched the forum and read through the various threads but couldn’t seem to find one with any prices in them. The only one I have managed to find is on the ruptured duck website for $1500. Is this the going price for such a piece? http://www.therupturedduck.com/WebPages/Cloth/c728a.htm

Many thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully helping me out.

    Cheers

That is a very nice and clean piece and I think it's worth $1500. It is the officer aluminum flat wire style in Gothic lettering... very nice. I'd pay that much for it if I was in the market for one. And Bill Shea is a worthy dealer to do business with IMHO.

      Rob,

Considering this was the going price for a relatively common "Deutschland" in the same config about 10 years ago I'd say Bill's price is probably about 5+ years behind the times on this one. Der F******252;hrer in my opinion is exponentially rarer in this config than its Deutschland counterpart and easily worth more than the $1,500 he's asking. Quite frankly I'm surprised it's still for sale. I'd jump on it!!

The market is slow with SS cufftitles right now, they are sitting there and there and are still fair priced. The DF on the GDC site is not anymore listed when I am right. Tough $ time.

Bill Sheas Der Fuhrer is priced to sell and I agree, Im also surprised its till there. Its listed for almost a $ 1000 more on the german dealers sites.

I agree with Robert that after the last few years price race the cuffs are kind of hard to sell. It might be different in a year or two though. Still SS cuff titles are really representative and essential of any ss collection.

I just came from a small local show and one dealer said he just sold a DEUTSCHLAND cuffband (same style, etc.) for $1700 and that is far more common than the DER FUHRER. Bob
