              many thanks to ben for his help in posting this cap and please mr moderator send me details on becoming a full member and i will pay the subs, im not able to post any pics , im computer illiterate, but i feel i can ask you guys your opinion without thinking im after free advice, and all opinions are very welcome, dont hold back in any way, you will not offend me,as i know sometimes peoples emotions get carried away abit in past threads, anyway, fire will.

                The waffenfarbe looks pink on my pc. The erzatz leather sweatband is normally found with late war cap fabric in my opinion, but I guess this combination is possible. The wear inside is also very heavy on the inside compared to the outside. Jacques

                              Ok guys, what about the cap?

                              Here are some of my concerns. I've already told Phil so I know he won't mind me saying.

                              A big red flag for me is the fact that here we've got an officers cap made out of nice quality private purchase wool but with a very average brown cotton liner and ersatz sweatband mostly if not always found in issued EM caps. In other words, the exterior and interior don't match at all. Another problem is that the s/band has been quite badly re-stitched and seemingly not only in the area of the peak which might be understandable. Centre band seems to fit ok from looking at these photos but looks very fresh compared to the mothed cap cover.

                              Any thoughts on this?
