SS VT cap eagle on e-stand

    Hello Gentlemen!
Im sorry for disturbing you on a sunday but I really feel there are serious doubts about the SS VT cap eagle presently for sale at the e-stand being original.

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=1#post1504964

From my knowledge its a reproduction. Others are welcome to share their opinion in this matter.

Im also sorry for disturbing the sales but I feel its necessary to do like this.

    /Felix

I agree. Apologies to the seller, but the eagle is not original.

The manufacture of SSVT insignia is quite unique IMO. Cheers Steve

I sold this eagle to Jeff longer time ago, and I apologize it is a faked one.
As you see from the other link I always thought it is an original one.
Jeff can always return this one what he bought longer time ago from me. Details I will discuss with him directly.

Hi Mr Davis, your'e a lucky man to have bought it from Robert,

I bought such an "pigeon head" eagle to a known man on the GD forum, obviously it was in the same condition : uncut.
As I had buy it to supplement a black side cap, of course I cut it out to a triangle and have sewn it on one of my caps.
Fact which does not make it to an original, as it was 3 years ago, I did not even asked for a refunding, what's your opinion about this please, what should I make gentlemen ?
                    Thank you.

I don't think you can get a refund now as you have cut the item to shape.
Returns usually specify same condition as sold.
                      Bad news all round.

Of course, this is correct, it is a rule for the collectable items - but in this case, if the eagle is fake, then it is worth nothing and does cutting really do a problem?

                            Robert,

I had a family emergency yesterday - I left in such a hurry I didn't even shut down my PC. Thank you.

Well I guess we have all learned a couple of important lessons here in our conquest to find regalia.

The most important is that Robert H. is a man of integrity and an upstanding individual. To come forward publicly to a mistake that I certainly would not have brought his name up to save mine. I would definatly buy from him again.

Thank you Robert and thank you members.

                            Jeff

                              I agree with Robin.

I beleive once you alter somthing, good or bad, it is yours now.
And yes, I am very fortunate to have bought this from Robert.
