Calling all SS experts....
Whenever I see SS items for sale, I usually head in the opposite direction because I have seen so much repro crap over the years. I have reason to believe these items came straight from a vet so I am considering attending this auction.
I APOLOGIZE FOR THE CRAPPY PICTURE. its the only one I have. I dont expect anyone to draw any opinions on the originality of anything. A couple of questions...
What is the winged badge with the swastika in the middle? Some kind of DLV badge?
SS pins should be numbered and marked either "Hoffstatter" or "Gahr" True or False?
Would the cufflinks be marked?
What shoulder board is that?
If you have any original photos of SS pins or cufflinks to post, I would appreciate seeing some original examples.
Provided the stickpins, cufflinks and death head are original and in good condition, what would be the approximate value? (as in collector to collector, not Internet Dealer)....
As always, you expertise is appreciated. My thanks in advance...
Dave
BTW.. here is the auctioneers description:
Two super Nazi swords w/lion heads; ruby jeweled eyes & swastikas; Cloisené winged badge w/swastika; pair of Cloisené SS cufflinks; 2 Cloisené SS stick pins; Cloisené pin marked SS w/swastika & “Dank Derssfurtreau Hilfe I.D. Kampfziet”; SS badge; Cloisené pin marked “National Sozialistische - D.A.P.”; 3 Panzer death heads; glass amulet w/Hitler; 3 different belt buckles w/swastikas; folding brass rule w/swastika; eating utensils w/swastikas; German helmet; paper items; some old U.S. items; 7mm Mauser rifle; and other items
PS... if you want to see a really crappy photo of the swords, I can post that as well....
