Vet Bringback Unissued W-ss Panzer Wrapper

    Hi Guys,
I just thought I would share this gem I bought yesterday from the 3rd Army vet who 'liberated' it in 1945. It was never issued, only the factory sewn sleeve eagle is applied. It is dead mint! No nap wear, nothing. The only thing different than when he took it, is that years ago, he removed 5 of the buttons to sew onto his coat! They were neatly removed by cutting the stitches. I took these pics quick today in the morning sun and then the camera ran out of batteries. Will try to post better ones when time permits. ENJOY!

Yep and it was a long drive to Upstate New York wasnt it, too bad he didnt have the MG42 anymore, just the P38 and HJ dagger.

        Gerard,

Great Score, Your wrapper is in the same cond as mine and looks identical. I did a hotel buy with Jason Burmeister in Providence, RI and a vet brought in four German uniforms and one of them was a mint unissued SS wrapper and pants. The only insignia on it was the factory sleeve eagle. Again congrats!

I had an identical mint one in assault gray I found in an antique shop in High School, unfortunately I sold it.

Outstanding nice SS Panzer Jacke Gerald, I see already from the pictures that this is the right black cloth material with the right stiffness. And for me I don't like any other cloth stiffnes for black wrappers.

No doubt taken right out of a factory in which only the sleeve eagle would have been applied. Tabs, cufftitle if worn would have been added apon issue..

                  Great find,
