This guy is a total thieving jerk.He simply photographed many of my photos from the beaver books & sells prints on ebay w/ "Ukrainian archive" stamps.....All his photos are JUNK.........

This must be very irritating. It is also a big con for the would be recipient. I have read the description and it clearly a total lie.

I am certainly not an expert on copyright law, but if you own the original photograph, then surely you hold the copyright. I am assuming that the original owner of the copyright, whether it is the photographer or the chap in the photo are not around to claim copyright. Permission has clearly not been sought from either yourself, or Bender Publications to reproduce the photograph.

Proving this may be legally difficult, but you could at least report him to ebay or send him a nasty message with some legal threat implied for him to withdraw the item immediately. If not, ask him for a ridiculous royalty payment on it!

This will probably have been of no help, but that is my 50p worth.

His defense It is an original photo, just doesn't say it's a copy of the original photo, and it is from a private collection, doesn't happen to mention that it resides in RD's private collection.

I'd try and nail him to the wall but it might be difficult where he's located, but you maybe can nail him through Ebay.

I've been had once by this guys, Now when i see Ukraine or some other country in that region and the User ID is private (or not) I just turn away!
