    Could someone tell me why the SS officers cap on the estand hasnt sold for 600 Euros ,I think it suggests the Trap was put on post war ,but an original cap plus and original trap must be worth more than 600 Euros ,am I missing something ? thankyou Rob.

    Good question Rob. I think it is probably a good one, but it certainly displays some 'non-standard' features - like the blue interior.
    It appears to be a late-war piece that most collectors will be less familiar with.
    Non-standard and less familiar can be the kiss of death in the ss field, even for an original item.
    Would like to hear some opinions from some of the headgear experts here on the forum.

        It looks like a good officers M43 to me. I have seen blue rayon liners in officer private purchase M43 caps in the past.

        Could very well have been a Heer officers cap at one time,perhaps this is the reason why it has not sold..

          Yes I agree, this cap was "given" and not "sold". What ever the case, the buyer is a lucky person
