    Allgemeine SS Shoulderboard - opinions?

I tried to post these last night, but apparently the forum decided to eat my post.

Anyhow, I picked these up from the same source as the 10.Fusstandarte tabs that I scored a few weeks ago.

The price was low enough (clueless seller) that it was worth the risk even if these proved to be bogus. I'm enough out of my area that I'd like to solicit opinions from the more knowledgable folks on the forum. The wear and the aging look authentic, but beyond that I'm out of my element.

    Thoughts anyone?

Looks like an original strap, although it has been cut down somewhat
    cheers

      Schulterstueck

This item is far less rare than the collar tabs. If the shoulder board has been on a tunic, it can well be cut down to the size of the shoulder of the wearer. It depends on the tunic, if the piece has, indeed, been used. These items are often found in a virginal state, as well. They have been at militaria shows in the Bay Area for about USD100. Or, perhaps it was cut from a tunic, as well, and hence its appearance.

I snagged it for $35, so I suppose I have reason to rejoice there.

What vintage would this strap be?

        Thanks,

Bravo! Now please find the rest of the uniform, especially if it is a black one or a grey one, as well.

I'll try, but I think that'd probably be a little less likely to get the "what the heck is this" discount.
