    SS camo panzer trousers

I am contemplating the purchase of this minty DOT set. The trousers are panzer cut I believe. They have flaps on the front pockets and an integral waist belt. But the waist belt material is not the same as the panzer trousers in the beaver book. And this pair of trousers has a pocket in the rear, unlike the ones in the book. Does anybody have any insight or comments?

This is a photo of the jacket. Same minty condition as the trousers. I am a little concerned about the tan colored lining/re-enforcement material. Does anybody have any input about this? (this is only my second set of DOT and I am not 100% sure I know the ropes about these)

The collar seems a bit wider than my other set but maybe that's because this set has never been worn, hooks never been hooked together and the collar is still ironed out as it was stored?

Again, any input would be greatly appreciated

        Ken

I forgot to mention that there is no sleeve eagle. There are shoulder board provisions but I am sure that somebody added these post war...

Here is a photo of the inside showing the tan colored lining/re-enforcement.

A close-up of the markings. I haven't seen these before either. Any thoughts?

Hi Ken, Save your money, both copies IMO.( HBT,pattern, lining, buttons, size markings. ). I don't know what you were going to spend on this but there is a nice original smooth cotton m44 dot on estand for a decent price.

the sewing looks good from these pictures.the finishing of the trousers looks imo as originel.

I only talk now about the trousers

Johan, I was reffering only to the jacket. I cannot comment on trousers as they are not my area (I know, I should have made that clear...sorry). As for the jacket, I personally, wouldn't own it in my collection.

                      Regards,

The JACKET is a definite NO! The stencils are in the wrong font and should be on one side, not the back. There is too much bleed through on the camouflaged inks and it just screams out to me, PASS ME BY!

Trousers look much better but need some more photos of the interior.

Regarding the jacket. I have seen many original tunics with interior tan lining, so that it not what one should look at as the reason for this particular tunic being bad. But still the tunic is bad. The bleeding and the color of the exterior pattern are bad. But as I said, I have seen many good originals with interior tan lining. Anyone else see good ones with tan interior lining too?

There is no problem to find tan lining in dot 44 waffen jacket ...
these materials are tropical surplus and used in M43 keilhose , M44 jacket , M43 HBT tunic ( often mixed with satin ) etc...

...yes tan lining is okey as far as the material is correct also. In the above jacket the lining material IMO is off.
