After almost two years of hunting I think I have found what Im looking for. An original Rzm ss officers sleeve eagle. I have studied the bullion ss sleeve eagles down to close details. They are very, very rare! My guess is that 95 % of the ones you see are fakes. Infact I think I have only seen 3 original ones for sale on the internet dealers sites during the last two years
This eagle is the "double eye" eagle that can be seen as example on p 443 in Angolias Cloth insigina of the SS. Its beautiful, uniform removed, yet minty. This is the only thing that worries me. It has all the technical details of an original bullion SS sleeve eagle... but its very minty... Even has trace of rzm tag on the back. Thread from the sweing can be seen. Green/grey thread in this case.
Still I would like to get any comments on this eagle, good or bad. Because I might be wrong......
