Officer Bullion Runic Tab - Opinions Please!

I thought this one had promise until I saw the reverse. I have never seen a cheesecloth backing like this on an original officer tab before, only on EM BeVo runic tabs. I have also not seen white stitching like this used for the bullion piping. Therefore, I am doubtful, but, because of other strengths which give me cause for hope, I figured it was worth my asking the experts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Brad

I don´t see right now red flags for it, how is the silver piping twisted 2x or 3x ?
Also I wouldn´t wonder because also war time upgrated collar tabs exists.

White threads used to hold the piping down is not uncommon, either is that type of backing. The bullion on the runes looks heavily oxidized though. Look Ok to me

Looks good at first glance, however I would see a close up image of its back side for sure.

Robert, that's a good question regarding the piping. I only have the photos, but I will ask the owner whether it has two or three starnds in the piping (looks like it might only be two from the photo).

Of course, as was pointed out, it may very well be a late-war upgrade from an NCO tab, in which whatever piping material was available could have been used.

Does anyone out there have photos of a bullion NCO or officer runic tab with this cheesecloth backing which you could share?

          Thanks,
          Brad
