Hey everyone, long time collector, finally decided to join the forum! excited to be here! I picked up this SS cloth/wool bill visor. I mostly collect SS cloth insignia but have been dreaming of a visor and the right opportunity came along. Unfortunately I don't have any visor reference books and Im not incredibly well versed on these items. So far this one looks good to me but seeing as its a serious piece and I have a decent time frame, Im looking for some feedback and opinions, so far I've gotten positive feedback from a few other collectors and also will be posting today on other pages. Much appreciated, looking forward to what you guys think!

Several years ago there was a forum member called Besslein, real name Arek and he claimed that he'd found 5 or 6 SS crushers. They were all fake, he was a scammer and was expelled from the forum.
Unfortunately your cap looks very similar to his examples and my advice would be to return it if possible.

The oh so obvious ghosts of the insignia always worry me. That was always a clear tell of the Latvian fakes.

I removed fake insignia from this yesterday. I did not receive it with "ghost prints". I should've added that, the close ups were to show after removal.Comment
