    Hi,

a short update about some of the french officers. I don't have my documents, so i can't give a full insight of the fate of them at the end of the war.

The Flakbatterie was commanded by Ustuf. Fayard.
The Waffen-Panzerjager-Abteilung der SS 33 was commanded by Stubaf. Jean Boudet-Gheusi. The unit never had their planned Hetzer. Fought without heavy material.

    Other high ranked officers :
Stubaf . Cance (Kommandeur of french units which fought in Galicia then blacklisted in Berlin)
Stubaf. Darnand (caught by the Allies and executed after the war, honorific rank),
    Stubaf. De Vaugelas
Stubaf. Raybaud (later Ostubaf. - fought in Pomerania, lost a leg in Korlin fight)
    Stubaf. Bridoux
Stubaf. Mayol De Lupé (honorific rank)
Stubaf. Doriot (killed by Mosquitos' attack on February 22, 1945, honorific rank)Stubaf. Lelongt
Ostubaf. Gamory-Dubourdeau (Kommandeur of Brigade "Frankreich", blacklisted in fall 1944)
Oberfuhrer Puaud (MIA after the Belgard landscape killing, maybe deadly wounded and died in WH hospital)
All those officers (except when noted) survived the war. Most were emprisonned for years.

    M. Soulat was with Boudet-Gheusi during the last days of the war, and never talked of the cross tabs...

    See You

      Hi,

Rick C, your patches seemed to be the ones used by "Les Equipes Nationales", a scout-look-alike mouvement of the Etat Français (Vichy) during WWII.

      http://j.champault.pagesperso-orange.fr/Equipes1.html

The "Equipes Nationales" ("the national teams") were created for the young people from 12 up to 25 years.
It was a civilian organisation, devoted to help the other civilians between 1942 and 1945. The celtic cross was the emblem, it was on their helmets (when they were working after the bombings) and on their jackets (in the heart).
Some units helped the resistance for the liberation of France in August 1944.

      See You
