I don't know which SP40 skulls you have seen but this should not have that mark.

There are images of this bagde on the other website, although it takes some effort to find them. These are faked, to be sure, but I join those above in their positive opinions of the piece illustrated here. Afterall, a lot of Waffen SS ended up in Hungary with pretty disastrous results.
