    I agree with Jim and Gary. This pattern of smock first appeared in large numbers in the '80s. Coincidence? I think not.

      I remember that this kind of smock has been much discused on this forum here as well and a little searching might bring up again all the opinions that were posted here back then.

            A few years ago I had one at home and I was not impressed. I know the controversy surrounding these types, but there a few things I just don't like about this smock and it's not just the pinkish color. Because that would be too easy. I have to side with the rejectors.

                  I throw my 2 cents in on Gary's side of the ledger - that is 'not acceptable'. I was a good friend and supporter of Mike Beaver and I know the depths at which he went in his research. If these were pre-May 1945 manufactured, then Mike would have found evidence and documented it in his books.

                    Some of us remember the thread of Robert Noss on GD !
                    I will never forget one of the last or the last of his post about the famous "Pink smock" . He was sad that people don't want to hear what he said ! Do you remember that he explain that the man that "command" these smocks was murdered ?
