'Military Binoculars and Telescope for Land, Air and Sea Service' by Hans T. Seeger

I am new to WW2 German binoculars and considering purchase of the book. However, I don't read German and I heard that most contents in the book are written in German.

Could anyone here let me know if it's worth buying if you only speak and read English?

Thank you very much in advance!

And if it's worth buying, which edition would you like to recommend? It looks like the newest edition is the 4th, published in 2013.

    Thank you very much again!

      Hello pcke2000,

Simple answer is Yes!, as a picture paints a thousand words, and indeed it has lots of photos to drool over :-)

Plus, you can now use the 'Google Translate' app on an android mobile phone to visually translate text (other mobiles are available).

I believe that there are now 3 (or 4?) revisions to the book, so there ought to be older versions knocking around if you don't want to go all-out.

      All the best,
      Paul

P.S. I must admit that I've never had any difficulties understanding my 3rd Edition, as it does contain a lot of English translations, but I have tried the Google Translate app with limited success to be honest - I think in main-part due to the technical language used in the book that it finds difficult.
