    Zeiss DF? Marineglas?

Picked up what I assume to be one of the above.
    6*24?
Knurled bending bar nut with elliptical plate under.
    Catch is missing.
    3 prism plate screws.
Grub screws on occular tubes & Objective lens housings.

    The prism plates are unmarked!
It does not look like anything has been been defaced. Just smooth plates.
The only marking is part of a broad arrow mark on a bottom prism plate.
    No serial no etc.
    Any ideas?

Marineglas is a 6x30. It was named Marineglas precisely because it had the larger 30 mm objectives suitable for marine users, against the 24 mm.
So, should not be a marineglas.

Have posted some pics on my Blog.
I have cleaned them up & the optics are very good.
Clean & clear with a great view.

It might be British - some of the smaller companies made similar binoculars. And some had unmarked plates. By the way - the incomplete arrow (it looks incomplete in your photo) indicates it was tested for military use and found wanting - so rejected.

I'm a little amazed at some of the crappy binos that were accepted and quality ones that were rejected - so it doesn't really mean much. Maybe different testers on different days?

But it may still have been used at some point unofficially...

No. I have a nice pair of telact. Broad arrow marked also. Full one.

They have bigger objectives than telact.
                Occular very similar.
Eye cups screw on but are loose on thread!
Did you look at pics on blog?

                Bilko's comments make sense.
I assume they are direct Zeiss copies.
                Contemporary with Zeiss ones?

                Telact seem much better quality.
Leatherette like post war Leics brittle rubbish!

But if they were made in the War?

The telact is an 8x24 that uses a 23.5 ish eyecup
                  yours is a 6x24?
Df6 and marine glass use a 19mm thread eyecup
I cannot think of another 6x24 zeiss that uses the 23mm cup

                    No markings.
Assume it is 6x. Objectives look more like 30mm.
                    Looks just like the Marineglas.
But Bilko's comments seem to add up.
