      Nice one!

I have only a Turkish one with the reticle in the left side. Are you publishing the book? Russian optics have been overlooked too long.

Dear Sgt Bilko you have absolutely right, Russian binoculars have been forgotten for too long, despite contain great stories to tell.
Even mine Russian binoculars has the reticle and 6x42 binoculars are rare and amazing as the vision.
I'm not going to write the book: I was contacted by a Russian scholar and collector of Russian optical. He asked me the pictures that will publish as soon as he finished the job of collecting Russian optics images of rare pieces, from all over the world.
It would be very interesting to see your Turkish binoculars as they are very hard to come by...
Have a great evening dear Bilko

            Hi Giant53,
It sounds like it'll be a great book - it's nice to have some of your treasure in someone else's book.

I'll take some pictures of my Turkish 6x42 and send you a message. I also have a 1916 Turkish Zeiss 6x30 and a 1930's Turkish Zeiss 8x30 cased.

Have a good weekend fellow collector!

3 weeks ago, at the binocular collectors society meeting in Wetzlar, we heard a short presentation about russian binoculars held by a german collector.
Extremely interesting, and he also had contact to someone in russia about these old optics. I have his name here somewhere.
A book would be very nice indeed.

It will be a book about the Russian binoculars issued before the Soviet Revolution of 1917.
This book writes my friend. And I'm a little help It's not my period ... I specialize in the period 1920-1945 years.
