Thank you for the photos! Very interesting!
Now this binocular (№9000) in my collection

Hensold from Wetzlar and Herborm - are two different producer.

Interesting binoculars №1854 - axis drive with locking screw, a simple scale on the eyepieces (no scratches diopters) and upper lens with nuts (incidentally, it is typical for HENSOLD Herborn)!

Yes you are absolutely correct. I have a serial list for bek marked binos but I was unaware that the commercial name for this maker was Hensoldt of Herborn.

I attach a revised early serial list for Hensoldt Wezlar without the previous addition of the two Hensoldt Herborn sets of binos.

I've just come across my own non Dienstglas marked Hensoldt 6x30 - left side commercial logo, right side 6x30 523466, 0-5 dioptre scale, grainy body covering, three screws per plate and hinge washer retaining screws.

And the German Army 40-30-20-10-0 etc reticle

Nice set, IMO appear military as commercial nearly always had a center focus wheel while military are individual focus. Also these would have had a leather type covering when issued, when these coverings wore off, it was easier to paint them and keep them in use.

The dark places at edges appear to be either remnants of the coverings or glue residue

Is there anyway to date this maker's binos according to the serial number?
