    my DDX tan binoculars...

    Here some photo's of my late war 6 x 30 binoculars.
    It is made of a zinc alloy and factory painted in the sandgelb tan colors.
    It is marked with the tree lettercode DDX witch stands for Voightlander.

    Nice and original.
    But it was opened in the past.

    Here you can see a ddx binoculars which is not original painted in tan.

          Maybe the screw slots are the give away. If the proper screwdriver had been used no-one would be any the wiser.....

              Okay, thus these binoculars have been opened in a cruede way with a wrong sized screwdriver? I always wondered why there is a aluminium pin in one of the screwholes...
              Still it is a nice object, and in working order.
              To me it is not of any importance, i am going to make this one complete with a button leather(how are the called?) and a neckstrap.
