I got this device for our museum about a year ago, thought I'd share some pictures with you and perhaps get some questions answered.
It's a basic mechanical computer designed by Dr. Ing. Kurt Pannke for ship-ship artillery. I have seen more advanced versions that also adds wind to the calculation, maybe this is simplified because it's for training rounds?
Were these used in each turret by turret commanders or the central artillery director? Were they hand held or attached to something?
