    Hi
OK... have them already...BTW most "Romanian" 8x30 are post war...have no 3 bolts on the plates... ...................
    If prior 1945 ; 3 bolts...
...after 1945/46... one or two bolts on plates only.
I really want a good 8x30 rln...will pay top $$$ or €€€€€ if good and in vg condition.
Also looking for a pair of 7x50 blc U-Boat binos with the dessicant cartridges and smooth oculars...
    Thanks for all your help.

You're right about the Rumanian Zeiss - I have 3 pair and one comes in the original case with filters. If you're willing to pay top dollar - why not have a go at the one on Ebay? Or are you still dubious?

To me - "If it walks like a duck and it talks like a duck - it's a duck" But no-one wants a goose!

Two things why I am doubtfull.
        1) two iddentical listing by the same guy
        2) still doubt about the markings sorry.
BTW the seller lists almost all he sells twice...
No good omen for me sorry...
        Cheers

Some people list things twice with different start bids just to get the ball rolling. But I agree you should follow your own intuition when buying expensive items. I've ignored mine in the past and regretted it! Good luck in your quest

If you have Hans Seegers book
Just compare the 8x30 rln markings...
The ones on Ebay... Sloppy. IMO.
If you know 100% nice and good ones I pay 500 Euro plus a reward for you
            Cheers

In Seeger's book - the rln 8x30 shown on page 300 has slightly mis aligned serial numbers. And I have a Zeiss reworked 6x30 Dienstglas which has an alloy left side (marked Carl Ziess) and a reworked brass right side (marked blc+ with a 1930's serial number) and the marking on the brass right side doesn't match up with the original markings!

But it's a Zeiss binocular, reworked in the Zeiss factory. I guess what I'm saying is that even Zeiss had bad days. And don't forget - the factory was getting bombed too...

Yup...Hans is getting a bit...hmmmm...but love him anyway....
For the rln on Ebay....listing the way he does...sorry...no way for me and a lot of others...
He looses more than he maybe gets.
                Cheers

                  markings....

just look at the differences in precision a...bombed or not...
besides the N# 220***** were remarked (acording to the ZEISS references ) and this after 1946...so no more bombing...except US care packages...

Faked adds for 8x30 rln twin binos on Ebay

                        Hi
love your markings. Compare the difference to the "twins" on Ebay.de
                        Any of these available ?
                        Thanks
