Hi there,
Certainly unusual - at first I thought someone had modified them by adding big oculars to the objective end (which wouldn't really work anyway) But, on looking at Seeger's grey book, it appears they were made this way in January 1944 His German description says "zusätzliche objektive fokussierung" which I read as "additional objective focusing". From a batch of 50, they've got to be really rare. Certainly the first I've seen in my life of collecting - well done!

I have a WW2 era British made 6x30 marked "Bore Sighting" which was meant to have been used for checking big guns. But the objectives were "normal" and it focuses on infinity as a normal binocular. Of course - this was in the days when money was no object. Nowadays our troops would be lucky to see a binocular. In Iraq they even had to buy their own boots!
