Carl Zeiss Blc Rm - F12x60 fur Em 4m R40 - What is it ...???

Hello, I found this "telescope" and I do not know what type it is, I know that from the second war. Markings on it are: Carl Zeiss Jena type Blc Rm - F12x60 fur Em 4 m R40

Is it worth it to hide or sell? Or is it a worthless thing, and I blow it?

If so anyone interested, email me or. and what it has value - if any. Thank you!

I do not know what it means to be used with 4M ... Does "that" some value for collectors?

        Thanks for the answer.

              12x60 blc

              Hi Cooper11,
it was part of the sighting equipment for a 4 metre rangefinder.
The example in your photos is missing the front subtantial "nose cone" which affects its collectability .
On the matter of value - the photos do not show the ocular details (eyepiece adjustment lever and eyecups etc) A photo of this area is essential for determining value.
If the oculars are present the basic price for your example would be around US $500-600.

A 12x50 blc with its nose cone intact and everything original .... can sell for US $700-800

Assuming all interior lenses are in good shape and are not cracked or damaged, view is clear...etc...or is not messed up in some way!
