It is not every day that you stumble across a pair of 8x60 u-boat binoculars that appear to have also served with the International Wildfow(l) Research Institute.

I may have missed something but I have always believed that Zeiss ( blc ) was the only maker of the 8x60 kommandantenglas.

Yes you must have missed something also made by cxn, though less common.

CXN made an example as well Tom , their usually had a sight line in it allowing it to be used as a UZO /UDF , in common with the CXN UBoatglas it is a rarer model than the blc productions.

cxn

cxn also produced a 7x50 uboat rubber armoured glass that is just like the Zeiss. Less common than the 8x60.
