    ddx Bino's, w/KM eagle

Fellow members, how are you? may I please seek your genrous expertise?
I have a pair of ddx dienstglas binos with the "M" marked eagle. Is there a rule of thumb that KM bino's are not dienstglas marked. Does only the heer have theirs dienstglas marked. I suspect these are the Heer post war altered original bino's with the KM eagle? nevertheless, they are very appealing!!! Thank you kindly for your time.

      Sorry, but Andy is right.....

Combination with Dienstglas and KM eagle is not possible IMO...

Only Dienstglas or only the "M" marked eagle, not both, that's the golden bino rule...

      Cheers

In addition, ddx never had a Kriegsmarine contract.

I have seen a few examples of the forgers art croping up at fairs in Ireland and France.
"Dienstglas" with fully kgm eagle IV/M markings , dienstglas on the left shoulder with blc on the right.

Seems that those with willingness to decieve know no bounds.

Well...I have a 6x30 binoculars which is stamped on the right side with dienstglas 6x30 serialnumber and fzg. On the left side "artl." and KM eagle with M.

I got it straight from the vet who was a leutnant with the coast artillery. This was his own binoculars throughout the war. This binoculars was in his possesion until I got it. It was subject of discussion in an earlier thread.
I have no reason to believe this binoculars was faked.

                    Thanks for the jpegs Frans.
Not a company I have seen before in relation to a kgm set.
The M I have seen before in relation to a dienstglas ,the eagle is 1936-1940 period.

The markings I mentioned date after this period , but I can't figure why a dienstglas would be so marked.

If anyone has any views it would be one to discuss , benutzer is the man who has most 6x30s.

In respect of the markings I saw - certainly faked - no question of it.

Is it possible than Frans binoculars, were serviced/repaired in WW11, and that an end cover from another pair was used to make good a damaged pair, the screws do look different in the pictures ?
                      Regards Gary
