Fliegerbluse, Hermann Goering, for opinions please

I have been offered this Fliegerbluse and I am posting it here to get opinions on it before I would consider purchasing this, as it is out of my collection focus. The seller believes that this is all original. Having examined it, my feeling is that:

    -Base jacket is real
    -Eagle is reapplied, hand sewn
-Cuff title appears to me to be original, application seems believeable
-Shoulder boards appear to be original tailor made white piped Luftwaffe boards
-Collar tabs show signs of previous stitching. Are the collar tabs original?

Part of the lining has been removed, as the pictures show. What exactly do I have here?

Stitching of the Narvik shield looks believeable to me.

Last ones for now. I can take more photos if needed. I am grateful for any feedback on this jacket.

Looks like an original FB with re-applied original insignia.

                  1. You can see the first set of suture holes in the collar tabs.
                  2. The Eagle is not sewn on by machine, as I have normally noticed on this period of FB.
                  3. You can see the yellow threads on the back of the collar, which would have been used to attach yellow collar tabs.
                  4. The CT looks like it was recently applied, based upon the deep impressions on the sutures in the material...

There are just the things I notice off hand. Lets hear what the experts say though.

I hope that you are doing well, Chris. Great to see you.

Whoever did the sewing on the eagle also did the arm shield based on these photos. If you could buy it for the sum of the parts then it looks like a decent display piece. Alex

Agree 100%. I will make for an awesome display item.

I believe the tabs are reproductions. The straps have a chance as many HG straps were made of felt material. However it is most likely a stripped tunic dolled up with "elite" insignia; nice to look at but of course not in the same class with an original.

I agree, postwar modified to be one of the most desireable Fliegerblusen out there.

Agree on all counts Paul, but believe the remains of yellow thread was another post war applied set of tabs, from all the loose red thread believe it was originally a FLAK blouse.

Chris, while well done, neither the cuff band nor the shield are "believable" IMO. The application looks just too recent, not as though they have been there 69 years.

Agree, though I haven't seen any moth bites either. The blouse will
make an excellent display piece in that condition.
