I have no problem with shirt and belt, but shorts look like KM to me

Shorts are for sure not LW tropical.

Well, it is what it is. KM shorts, original shirt with a replaced eagle (likely to be a fake though I would like to see a front shot), not sure what happened to the buckle (repainted silver or bare steel?), original belt.

thanks for confirming some of my fears. Agreement on all points shirt with replaced eagle and non LW shorts. Just did not know these were KM (which is a bit out of my area of expertise). Much appreciated.

Agree. And selling a shirt with no detail photo of the eagle begs the question if the eagle is genuine or not.

KM tropical shirts, like Heer tropical shirts have finished holes on the pockets to accommodate metal tunic buttons attached with "S" hooks. Luftwaffe tropical shirts do not.

Here is a detailed photo of the eagle, I got the set from (edited) who had gotten it from (edited) an Italian member...as this set fell outside of my area of knowledge I took others word for what it was. I am not out to make anything out of it that it is not and will glady provide photos of any part someone here wants to see.

Thanks Willem...a humped up set then in more ways than one...I am very dissapointed in being 'taken' by fellow forum members with this set which was supposedly listed on the estand before with zero issues....oh well, live and learn I guess.
I have no clue what to ask for:shirt or shorts? what is a fair price for these?

Any other thoughts on the eagle? there are some very unhappy people involved with this deal, the original seller has contacted me to make amends, I appreciate that gesture immensly. A hornets nest has been stirred up though but in the end, I am inclined to believe that no one has intentionally set out to decieve anyone... its also true that no one can be expert on all the gamut of TR militaria.. hopefully this will get resolved with the private messages that have been exchanged today .Moving on,could it ever have happened that a LW man was issued KM shorts? or got them from a friend in another branch of service? I am curious about this...or were the regulations quite specific about this?

I think that anything may have been possible in those six years of war- so why not a LW man with KM shorts. Would I display this as LW? - no.
