        Nice mannequin for sure..

I'm not thrilled by the cover.., the somewhat heavy cotton cloth reminds me of the many I saw on Ebay etc.
There's also a bomber type in same cloth, same colors, then there's one in yellow/red etc..
All look a bit dusty, same hooks etc..
Let's say I've seen 20/25 in total now, Czech websites included..., too hard to believe to find so many of these rare items.
There're also versions made outoff damaged tan flightsuits with yellow and red lining, think these started to pop up about 10 years ago.
I had the chance to study one of these and the piece elastic strap inside was pure modern nylon.
I'm not a fan of any I've seen sofar, wrong fabric etc.
Just my opinion..., I think they're nice for display, but no era items.
Most of the time the guys selling these have many more wrong items, should ring a bell.

        Jos.

          Luftwaffe flight gear blog

          Hello,

Thousands of collectors, historians and aviation enthusiats search online for collectibles, documents, photos, etc. on a daily basis. Probably more than 90% of what they discover might not be useful for them, but for others. Even though the majority of people can't share their findings with other enthusiats as there is just too little time to do that in ones daily life, I want to make the first step and share some of my Luftwaffe flight gear findings in a regularly updated blog. The regularity depends of course very much on my available free time which is very limited from time to time. But I'll give my best.

The blog's format is very open and I won't focus only on auction items but also other items and even personal experience of my collectors/historian's life. There is a voting poll at the right hand side of the blog. Please let me know what you think. This is new to me as well and of course, I don't want to waste my time if nobody is interested or even thinks I harm people with it.

Please have a look and feel free to add comments to my posts.

          Regards

            Blog

PS: I don't want to upset collectors who spend many hours finding items themselves and hoping that nobody else finds an item so that the price stays reasonable. Therefore, I could show photos witout links. I added a voting poll so that you can vote what you prefer.

            Regards
            Roger

                      rigid n&g goggles

Here is a pair of the 2nd type N&G goggles that I have had in my collection for about 8 years now. They have no maker mark but a faint "2" for the size. I don't wish to sell anything but any member is welcome to pm me if they want to, for any reason. I would like to thank those in this forum for showing pics of their collection so that others like myself can learn. I have learned much from others pics and threads on this forum and I am hopeful that I may be able to contribute something.
