Yes, it is a very rough in finish. You will need a lot of luck to find a scabbard.
Has anyone seen one with LW acceptance stamp? I suppose all the unmarked versions were in the LW contract. Now the brass versions are also found with police acceptance stamp E/B for use with their air units. Here is an interesting older thread on these Buschmessers.
