Hi,

I shall be posting a G.Sprgr on e-stand and I want to know if anyone has experience of these in bare metal?

All I have done with the main tube is a clean up with fine wire wool and oil and there is no trace of paint on it at all.

I wondered if in the latter stages this may have been done as a cost-cutting exercise?

A couple of photos - I believe the card tube is a real one, comparing it with previous threads, but I think it is two left-hand ends as there's no writing. The end cap is marked "cuy 41" which is Eli Adolff A.G.

Any comments appreciated.

might the orig. paint got lost and the main body has been cleaned by some reason...

Thanks for both your comments - in later thinking I also wondered if it had just lost its paint over 70+ years.

How much do you think that tube might be worth then Jens?
