    Panzerfaust 60m tube

    Hi,

I have this nice Panzerfaust 60m tube with much original paint left. Unfortunately the aiming device is missing.

The tube itself is amazing, and I have another tube which was cut in half but on which the aiming device is great.

    Now my question:

Is it possible to complete my tube by removing the aiming device from 1 cut tube and welding it to this nice tube ?

Post a picture of the other tube! It will be easier for someone to answer your question. It can be done, but you will completely ruin the other tube (i know already cut) to make a put together tube.

If the paint on the other matches this one as nicely, you could do it, but if you weld it to the nice tube without the sight, the welding will damage the paint. You could use a cutting wheel and remove the sight without damaging ANY part of the sight. Then you could use a metal bonding epoxy and attach the sight to the nice tube so that you do not damage the finish with heat!

If the sight does not match very well in color and patina, I would DO NOTHING and just be happy with the fact that the finish on this tube is exceptionally well preserved.

There will be many other opinions, but doing nothing does not damage anything further!

Really nice tube Unfrotunatelly, if you try to remove the aimig parts of the other tube you might damage them, as they seem to be welded by electrical weldin spots. Later, when you tried to weld the parts to the "new" tube, it would be almost impossible for you if you don't have the right "electrical spot welding" machine...so trying to weld by other means could damage the original paint if you use heat
