What is this stick grenade?

Hi guys, today got this, a kind of stick grenade. Given the condition of the grenade itself, I am quite sure the stick does not belong to it, but rather has been later added for the better look. The original must have been something similar??

The question is: what type and what country is this grenade? Why does it have those nig holes - maybe it is a training grenade? On one side there has been something... maybe a clip to attach to belt.

Looks like a North Vietnamese grenade I saw once. They had a few variety's of stick grenades.
