Interesting use of ammo crates

Someone my dad knows found these used as sub flooring!! There was more but the guy burned them as fire wood . Not that good of condition and sawed into pieces but I can use them for a shelf or something. First one says

Packed 5-42

That is correct.

I like discoveries like this. It's nice to see the markings but it's too bad the pieces weren't left intact so that you could reassemble a box or two.
