Hey guys...
This came back with an RAF veteran. The waffenampt on the top IS there...but it has been rubbed out. You can actually see where it was VERY faintly on the top when you look at it in certain lights. It is like a "colorless" waffenampt, if that makes any sense....? It is VERY clear when held at an angle, but I could not get any decent pics of it...it is right about the scratch in the middle (4th photo).
You can also see the circular rubbing marks.
Nice patina from storage.
I have been collecting for 20 years, and can easily tell the difference between the fake and originals...however...someone has questioned it's authenticity, so I wanted second thoughts?
