    Latest addition: 8cm Wgr 38

Here is my latest beauty. It is 8cm Wgr 38 with Wgr Z38 detonator. This one is the bouncing mortar round. It bounces back to air after landing->more lethal than normal mortar round.Markings are in amazing condition.

    8cm Wgr 38

    Hi,

thanks for showing this most interesting variant of the 8cm Wgr. 38.

However, I have some doubts about the originality of the paint and the
    markings.
Looks like restored, field-grey paint applied over rust holes.

Also the black markings look hand-applied, very carefully done though
but not factory applied, I'm afraid.....

    Thanks for showing !

I have examined the grenade and yes it looks like somebody has repainted the markings over originals. You can see fainted original markings in some points underneath. Well, this looks like big minus for the seller for upcoming deals.

I agree with the other guys about the repainting.

But nevertheless you got a very very rare and speciale 8cm bouncing frag mortar there.

And the mortar is in very good shape.

I would say a good find.

          Cheers Mike

Always nice to see this bouncing bettys. A pitty the paint and markings are not original. I myself have two of these. No clear markings anymore.

If interested to see more I will make more photo's. This is currently the only picture I have of them.

My example still have the cartridge on the tail.It is shot one

Tail fin color is littlebit different than the grenade,so it could be original.Who knows, but it still looks good even with remade color.

I also have even more rare example coming: Wgr 38 Deut

What was the difference in Nebel rounds which had White Nb or normal Black Nb on the side?
