    It looks good, but I would like to see some more pictures of the markings on the fuze, the projectile, and the case itself.

    Here is what mine looks like.

    I once flew in a B-17, B-24, & a B-25. Next, I want to fire an 88 round.

          Tellermine looks good.

          88 Grenade also could have some remains of original paint layer but i would say that it is not worth of the price.You can get same condition grenade for 80euros,detonator 30euros,casing 40-70euros from egun-auction.

          Good condition original 88 grenade with original paint completely is way more expensive.

            You asked me earlier what I thought about the paint. I believe the paint job is good and here is the reason why. This round it much like mine and through the years the paint has been slowly absorbed by the round. I wish I still had a picture of my 88 round when I first got it. You would have been amazed. When it comes to paint jobs I am more concerned with the new looking stuff or rounds that look mint. This is a good round, but like someone else mentioned, it's a lot of money. It just depends on how bad you want it and when you will see one again.

            Hope this helps,
            Eric

              Somebody has sandpapered or something like that for the paint layer.Grenade does not look like this after 70years alone.You can see traces of original black under driving rings area but even there is yellowish remains which should not be there.

              This grenade have small square shape "tooth" marks on the side which tells me that it is ex finnish army grenade which was removed from the pressed casing.Finnish army depots had many kind of grenades for this caliber.Original german yellow ones,mixed german yellow ones with added white/red finnish markings,finnish repainted green ones,gray ones.All the grenades were original german yellow before army reworked them.Army sandblasted original color layer away and repainted them.

                  So, what you are saying is someone has sandpapered this round or something else? I also went to the website and this appears to be more of a grey green finish now that I have taken a second look.

                  Either way, just having an 88 round in the collection is Great!

                            @Jussi: Pzgr. ? or Pzgr. 39 ?
                            In other words: big fuze or small fuze ?

                              Hi Marcel,

                              Yes,it is just the Panzergranate with big fuze.

                              Actually fuze itself is missing.
