S-mine

I today managed to buy this S-mine.It is repainted with silverish paint and has small plaque on one side.It was given to military engineer officer in finnish army as an remembrance item.It was good deal as i managed to get 4 other different detonators and one 81mm wartime mortar round from the same source.Should i try to remove silver paint or leave it as it is now?
