Strange German 8cm mortar fuze.

Does somebody have some information about this fuze? I've never seen one wich is in two parts.

I only have a picture of one side of the fuze, can't take another one becouse it went back under ground where it came from.

I think it is a combined shock and time fuse.

It's quit a rare find actually.
This 8 cm Wurfgranate is fitted with a "Wurfgranatenzünder R", which has only been found a few times on 8 cm Wgr and was (to my knowledge) an experimental fuze.

It's a mechanical Impact fuze without delay, made out of Trolitul.

Don't rebury stuff like this and leave it as a "present" for the next digger; report them to the local authorities and let EOD pick them up instead.

It will give problems if I report them to the local authorities, it was found in the Dahme-Spreewald.
