Ordinace Help please.. Achtung Sprengkorper!

Achtung Sprengkorper! Something for you ordinance collectors..... any idea what this came off of? Torpedo, bomb, V1, ???????? Size is about 2 1/2" X 3 1/2". Thanks in advance. Take care.

Hi Tim,

In this case, I think 'Sprengkörper' would best be translated as 'explosive bolt'- the Ju87B (not sure about later models) had these to blow away it's landing gear should a crash-landing be necessary, but in this case they appear to be involved in jettisoning something. The diagram does seem to show a torpedo, but I'm not really sure...

I agree to the above, but for me it looks like a big helicopter (sea king type?). IMHO a postwar piece.....
