    Egg grenade with bakelite stick

Did anyone see the very rare egg grenade with bakelite stick that is for sale on E-stand, especially made to fire also from a K98 grenade launcher. These are very rare, I have one in my own collection also.

    NOT 98k Launcher

These modified egg Grenades with stem are not made to fire from a 98k Grenade launcher but from a modified German Flare/Signal Pistol...BILL

The E Stand is the association members sales and wanted section of this site. Always lots of good stuff there

Werner P is the seller of this item. Contact him about the pics.

        Cheers, Ade.

Yes, it is a very rare round. It is called the "Wurfkoerper 361".

Bill, was it used in a "Kampfpistole" or a regular one?

Willi, It was used in the 'STURMPISTOLE' (ASSAULT PISTOL) The standard flare pistol was adopted to fire The Wurfkoeper rounds, a special smooth bore liner was placed in the flare pistol when the grenades were used...There was even a anti-tank round as well as two different AP rounds for this pistol.. There were also a folding stock attachment and a clamp on battle sight that clamped around the bbl......There is also another modified Flare Gun the "KAMPFPISTOLE' (battle pistol) known to collectors as the "Z" Gun.. because of a large 'Z' engraved on the left of the bbl...It was a rifled flare pistol which fired special ammo...WURFGRANATPPATRONE 326 (High Explosive Grenade ctg. 326).. There were also smoke ctgs, and illumination rounds for this strange gun....BILL...pictured is the STURMPISTOLE

Looks like the warhead of a Stick grenade

                    That's either a Wurfkörper 358 or a Wurfkörper 361 with a Stielhandgranate 39 head.

There were several versions of the Wurfkörper 361, the shaft (made out of wood or plastic) was fitted with :

                    - Stielhandgranate 39 head.
                    - Eihandgranate 39.
                    - Nebeleihandgranate 42.
