Found some info about a grenade...

    Hi guys,

I have this grenade for some time, but could find no additional information - country of origin, period of use... I think I showed it here before, it could not be identified.

However found out, that one fellow here has the same, but made as a sidecut, to show the parts inside. And he found a 1937 Bulgarian army instructions book for the soldeirs, showing the same grenade! It is described as a defensive grenade. So, after some discussions, it turns out that it is a Bulgarian grenade, model from the 20's or early 30's. And what I have is the training version, in the book it is described to have 5 holes /mine has exactly 5 original holes/ and there was a small paper bag with black powder inside, giving a loud "bang" when the grenade thrown. Not exploding, just making noise Of course, it was to be used many times, just a new bag of powder inserted and fused. Quite a rare piece!
