R.R. Cap Tallies Collection

These caps were worn into the 1960's, so not that uncommon. Figure they were worn for around 25 years with the US Navy tally.

They were not popular with the sailors so they were discarded from issue and only the white "dixie cup" used. John

After a long time, two new additions arrived this week from Dani:

A upgrade for my "Linienschiff Schleswig=Holstein" tally.







The 1st one I purchased, had some damages and rust stains due a bad display method used by another owner.





Is interesting to compare both and observe a size difference at "Linienschiff" word due a largest gap between "i e n s" letters.



And a "Panzerschiff Deutschland" tally.







That's completing my Deutschland Class sequence:

Thanks, but it is actually a fairly faded blue on the front. Still glad to have it though.

Graf Spee though has never been seen with blue letters and white background as far as I know.

Like this most commonly and rarely in yellow and mint green.

Here around it's been quiet lately except for a Steuermannschule for the Schule collection.
