French Admiral Tunic With KM Buttons

Thease uniform came out of an estate. The navy buttons look like KM buttons. Are they?

The buttons are exactly like some others I saw identified as WWII German...is this a WWII tunic?

Not KM Buttons. You can also check the back of the buttons, no doubt Paris made.

the buttons are correct for a French naval officer.

The medals are quite interesting . You have a WW2 vet (3rd top) how has been awarded the "Legion d'Honneur as a "commandeur" which is quite high rank, couple of North african/colonial medals l('Ordre de l'Étoile d'Anjouan & l'Ordre de l'Etoile Noire) but was also decorated for his services to Naval Activities (it can be both as a civilian or a military) and more surprisingly has received the "Palmes Academiques" which reward a contibution to Education (as in school or universities) .
